The story of Ovečkárna began in the traditional markets. The first slippers, socks, blankets and other products made of sheep wool were offered by Martin Bernátek in 2009 in a stall and toured the towns around Zlín, Czechia. In 2011 he launched his first e-shop.

In 2016, Ovečekárna expanded to Slovakia and two years later to Hungary and Romania. Ovečkárna began to thrive, winning the ShopRoku (Shop of the Year) competition in 2019 and the next two years in a row it was ranked among the 50 fastest growing companies in Central Europe in the Technology Fast 50 CE competition.

The year 2021 is a breakthrough one for Ovečkárna, with investors entering the company and bringing professional management alongside investment. In 2022 then comes the expansion into the German market.

Currently the company has 6 language versions of the e-shop and delivers goods to customers all over Europe.
